Dabbling in writing for many years the first book to be self published was, “Memories,” a biography about Eva Bender, her mother. The second book was a baby book of sorts for cats, “Cats in a Cradle.” The third book, “Little Miracles,” was started in Zephyrhills, FL while dreaming of a newspaper column.Later, when her articles were rejected by a local newspaper in Crossville, TN, she pledged these miracle stories to God, if He would bless her attempt to publish, “Grandfather.”
“Little Miracles” sprang into being from that promise. Opened to people in the community and churches to submit true miracle stories of their own, Tansi Community Church became the vehicle for publishing this wonderful book. The next book was suggested by other folks who like to see their animal’s picture in print. It is called, “My Scripture Activity Book for Memory Verses.” Folks from far and wide contributed cute animal pictures. Nancy researched Bible verses and paraphrased them to represent the photos. The accompanying page is blank for children to write in their current Sunday School memory verse, the date and draw a picture of their pet.
“God’s Little Miracles,” another miracles book with stories submitted by friends and neighbors, was published in 2005, with all proceeds going to the Nazarene Missions International in Orange Park, Florida.
“Grandfather,” the first volume in The Cherokee Series, was completed in Tennessee and “The Adventures of Cherokee” was started there; “Cherokee, Skin Walker,” the final volume, was completed in Orange Park and published December 2005. In this book Cherokee makes two new and special friends and accomplishes the vision quest he received in the first book. All published books are currently available from Trafford Publishing Company, from POW! (Promoting Outstanding Authors) at POW100.com, or directly from the author.
